LOC - Anyone using a PAC AOEM-NIS2 with factory connectors ??
Just curious, I saw that PAC has a LOC with factory connectors, so one doesn't have to hack up the factory wires in the trunk in order to use a standard wired LOC like the PAC SNI-35 or the Navone NE-774V. Any experience with this model ??

Also curious, why a LOC?? If you tap into the wires before the Bose amp, it should be a low level signal, and therefore you don't need to modify it with a LOC (which is used for high level amplified signals). I would think all you would need to do is to splice into the wires and add some RCA connectors. But then again, splicing into any wire breaks the shield and can introduce unwanted noise...hence the idea of using a LOC in the first place...
Thanks in advance for your time in reading and answering this question

Like he said - the signal coming out of the clarion HU is amplified. That said, it's been measured to be only 2.2V at maximum volume. So you could treat it like a low level signal for many aftermarket amps.
However the AOEM-NIS2, although a PIA to install behind the HU, does provide clear RCA signals without any splicing whatsoever. Even a remote start wire is provided. My rationale for using it was that I could very easily go back to stock Bose anytime I needed to.
I have the gain on the AOEM-NIS2 turned up to MAX but ever since installing a sub, I do notice some noise (low Hz rumble) from the HU RCA outputs (even when it is off - so not sure this is an AOEM-NIS2 and/or HU issue or some noise is coming from somewhere else - but it is so hard to hear without maxing out the gain on the sub that I have not worried about it). If I play directly from my carPC - there is zero audible noise even on max gain (SB Extigy powered) when no signal is playing.
