Now for the question: How much would I be looking at for an install of an Autopage RL750 LED or comparable system? Does Best Buy or CC do this (for a fee, of course) for alarms/stereos that they do not directly sell? If I can get it at CC for $400 with a free install, it makes more sense than purching it for $150 and paying $300 to have it installed by a third party... Comments? Suggestions? Opinions?

I would not trust those guys at circuit city or best buy. Find some good shops and let them do it.

I also recommend a good shop that specializes in that sort of thing. Beware though, some of them will only install products that you purchase from them. If you bring in that system that you bought elsewhere, they may not install it because they are A.Holes sometimes

Pretty much what I'm planning on doing... and I'd have no problem talking to the manager of one of those A-hole shops and letting him know he's losing the business of 6 installations for our family, and any potential business from our friends. Other than bitterness, there's no finacial reason to do such a thing on their part... makes me wonder how companies exist with such pathetic business practices.
