Factory Navi vs Aftermarket

I was thinking of going with aftermarket, but my dad wants the factory... I like how it pops up, however, I read many posts about how many features get disabled while driving... So if someone could tell me exactly what the passenger can't do while driving that would be awesome...

Also, how is the view of the aftermarket system? Is it too low?

Please don't waste my time, and the time of others by flaming...

Thanks

Factory, you cannot enter in destinations or change them while you are driving. The visibility is better being higher. If you are happy with factory stereo, etc. go factory.

If you want a better head unit, and more options, go aftermarket. I did. I just installed (yesterday, and need to post pics) the Pioneer AVIC-D1. It is a double din touchscreen unit and I love it!

Aftermarket... Be prepared to buy the Double DIN kit which will run you $400 shipped from Japan, plus the cost of your deck! If you are not a pretty experienced installer, play to pay for install. It will be costly, as the install is not as simple as other cars.

Anyway good luck with your decision.
