Volumn increases as I accelerate??

I've only had my G for about 2 months now and what I've been noticing is this: I set my volumn at 10. When I'm driving on local streets, going at about 25 mph, the volumn sounds like where it should be at. When I accelerate past 40 or go on the freeway, it increases to about 15.

At first I thought to myself, "Maybe it's just me cuz I'm so damn exciting about driving this car". Everybody has that feeling when they gun that shi*, their adrenaline starts pumping. So when I had my gyrl in the car, I told her to listen and she noticed it too.

Is this something standard on all G's or am I'm just losing my mind?!?

Dude, that's the auto-volume increase feature that's built-in! Read the manual, it's a convenient feature that automatically adjusts the volume at higher road noise/speeds so the driver can still hear the radio.

"Available Bose® premium audio system with 7 speakers, steering wheel audio controls, speed-sensitive auto volume control and RDS radio function"

Yeah, you can adjust that in your audio options to be more/less sensitive...or completely off.

OMG...are you driving a G35? Bust out your owner's manual. It should tell you on the cover what kinda car it is.

Just turn SSV off. I have mine off but my volume is always at 31 so it can't go up more than that

It's called Speed Sensitive Volume (SSV). Push the same button you use to set Bass/Treble etc. You'll come to an SSV setting. Choose OFF, LOW, MEDIUM, or HIGH.

Is it 7 or 8 speakers?? I swear the brochure says 8......but I could be wrong, but again 7 seems such an odd number...

Do a search on their site, I thought it was weird too. I have another posting in the Audio section asking about this.

It's 8, and btw 7 isn't uncommon, my Maxima has 7 because it only has one speaker by the back window.

I have mine set to high. The change in volume is quite noticeable when you are slowin down. I think it may be more tied to RPM than actual speed... ????

Ssv

I love this forum, I was hoping my car had that, but never noticed it really. I'll be sure to set it up to high on the way home from work. Thanks people.
