Plug and Play Satellite Radio..Advice/Pic Request
Alright guys, I plan on visiting my alma mater for every football game this upcoming season. Problem is, it is 4 hours away and I will be driving through the country where the radio stations are ridiculously boring. I would like to attach my father's extra satellite radio (XM) into my car using the FM radio to broadcast the system. It is a cheap alternative since the only thing I will have to do is pay the monthly subscription of $7.95 (family discount).
Do any of you currently use the plug and play satellite radios? If so where did you wire your antenna and where did you setup the satellite radio face?
I know that getting the factory system will allow for the cleanest install and also provide the best sound quality since it is wired into the factory receiver but I have heard it costs around $300?? Is that price reasonable or would you all rather go for the alternative.
Pictures of current plug and play systems would be appreciated. Thanks!

I had a Skyfi system for about, 4 or 5 months. I had it mounted right above the drivers side air vent. I ran the attena onto the back window sill and it worked out very well. I'd take a pic but I recently got a new head unit with it built in, so it might be a bit difficult to do now. I hope this helps.
