G35 Deck
do you guys know if the stock G35 non-bose system has a line out on the deck? i'm planning on putting in new sound system. I assume most stock decks do not but on my friends 2002 audi A4 he had a line out on his stock deck so i was just wonder. Thanks for the help.

hey, thanks for the help, i noticed on ur car u replaced t he system but kept the stock deck, i assume u had to use a converter...any noticable sound decrease? i have yet to put in my system...i got a pair of rainbow pro extreme 265 and for the back a pair of rainbow SL 165 and going to pwr it with the arc 4050. my friend insist i put in a new deck but i have yet to see a deck that looks good with the G. Thanks a lot.

as far as i know, you can't change the deck. well, ANYTHING is possible, but it's difficult because the radio and a/c are integrated. i may sound like a broken record to some, but i have a skyline optional parts catalog that shows an option for aftermarket decks from pioneer and kenwood, direct from the nissan factory. i am trying very hard to see if we can bring that in from japan, but to no avail yet.
there is always additional noise when using line converters vs. say, 4v preouts, but it still sounds very VERY good. but then, focal utopias will make almost anything sound good.

well, thanks for the input, i guess i will have to use my stock deck. actually i prefer using my stock because i love the controls on the steering wheel...i think its something every 30k car should have. btw on the option aftermarket decks from pioneer and kenwood can you keep me up to date on that? and do u know if those decks will work with the controls on the steering wheel? thanks for your help.

Actually, Id personally just settle for the lower end skyline double din dashkit with the A/C harness.
Ohh, and youve got it backwards about the speakers.. good speakers actually bring out the flaws in whatever equipment your using.

uhhh, i think we might be talking about the same thing kinda. do you know if that'll work on the g35? i noticed that it's an option for the 250gt only, and not the 350gt - at least in the catalog that i have.
and i disagree that i have anything about the speakers backwards. the speakers are the single most important element in any audio setup. obviously, better components will bring out the best in the speakers, but try putting top-notch components with pos speakers and they'll sound like a pos. i think you and i agree on this, but you may have taken what i typed to the extreme. i didn't mean that the speakers were the ONLY important thing.

I am thinking of changing the speakers on my coupe... was it a big problem changing it from your sedan?
I have heard installers said the Bose system is a bit*h some times to install....
Can you tell me your process?
