The majority of people with Sat use the factory system; others just put it on the dash. Anyway the mp3 player installs I have seen might work for you. Here are a few you can think about that might work for your XM kit. Most people rig their players in the ash try area or in the nav system area; I’ve also seen some people just put the player in the arm-rest and use a remote to switch the stations.

Yeah I was actually working on an install but it kind of fell through. At any Rate I was installing the Roady in the spot where the NAV screen would be. Fits perfectly if you add that mounting bracket on the back and stick it in.. Sits back in the cubby and looks real nice. Plus that gives you the option of hiding it in that cubby when you leave (given that you drill a hole in the cubby and run the wires up through it). Btw, if anyone has ever done an iPod install the in the ash tray I must see.. I spent 5 hours trying to figure out a way to mod that in .. for that matter I've never seen an XM fit either. (Of course I mean to where you can still close the ash tray when you're done.

I found a good solution: Belkin Cup Holder Mount

I has three cups, i used the bigger one without extra "bumps" and had to kinda finesse it into place. What i like is its not too far away, u can adjust the tilt, height and direction. Also its extremely secure in its location and does not interfere with shifting.

Was $29.99 from bestbuy but I'm sure u could find it cheaper online.

I've also mounted a Sirius Starmate Replay in the Nav cubby and it seems to be the best spot for something like this. Not a lot of other options anyway. I'm in the process of removing the vertical side-panel trim (along radio face-plate) to run the wires and hopefully have enough space to drill a hole into the cubby box for the wires.
