I searched and I coudlnt find it. Can anyone tell me abouto the bose HU on the 04. I just had an o3 and I got the dreaded disc error. does this happen iwh the o4 also? thanks

 

IIRC, I think this was mostly an 03' only problem. I have an 04.5, and haven't had this happen yet. (knocking on wood)

 

NO this happens on the 04.5 as well ... take it to the dealer, they will replace the head-unit for you for free. A lot of people here have had that problem.

 

I too had problems with my Bose HU. Had to have it replaced 3 times within a year! The dealerships are aware of the issue and they should not hassel you one bit.

 

I think the bose in my coupe is the best stock system I ever heard, but listening to my cd last nite, my left speaker stopped working all of a sudden. Than it went on for a second and went off again. Checked the radio, all speakers work, checked the cd again - left speakers don't work. Mad this morning checked again. Radio works with all speakers, my cd only right speakers work. On the way home from work, same thing. I started checking all 6 cds one by one, song by song, and all speakers work. And miraculously the said CD too. Just needed to share this with you guys. Hopefully it will keep working fine now, but I will mention it to the dealer next visit. Thank you for reading.

 

Mine should be off to the dealer this week to be replaced. What a POS. Mines an 04 btw. you'd think if the problem happend year over year they'd find a more permanent fix- like a better head unit!
