JL Audio 10w3v2, 300 watts RMS, my local Tweeter shop quoted me $210 + tax (+ installation if you want their 1 year warranty). $150 on ebay, but no warranty (unless you add an Ebay warranty to it).
The amp depends on what you plan on doing with the amp. Do you plan on running an amp for your sub and an amp for your speakers? Or maybe a 5 channel amp for running speakers & sub from the same amp?
What are your thoughts?

I am thinking just to get mono amp for the sub and another amp for the speakes if necessary. I have alpine m-500 mono amp and i was wondering can this amp connected it to different brand sub or is it better to have alpine sub.
Thx.
Thx.
The alpine amp will connect to subs other than just an alpine sub. You will want to find a sub that will run at:
250 watts RMS (RMS = normal rating, not PEAK or MAX rating) at 4 ohm impedence OR
500 watts RMS at 2 ohms
It's slightly more complicated than that, but it'll get you started.
