I have the non-bose system (bose sounded like crap to me personally) and wondering what size speakers can fit in the holes in the door (sometimes can be forced to mount)? Also anyone have any recommendations on how to run a sub in the truck? High level input off the rear door speakers?

im in the same situation. i've searched, but everyone seems to have to do DIY mounts and things to upgrade their speakers. im just looking for a straight "bolt-in" upgrade replacement for the crappy panasonic door speakers.

 

You have to do some sort of "customization" to get any aftermarket speaker to fit, because the stock speaker/spacer is all one unit. If you don't want to do that, then PAY someone to do it for you.

 

i did search and as stnwag0n said no one has said a straight up answer.
