WTB 2005 OEM Bose Headunit
So in my prototyping for building the new 05 DigitalWheelz Screen Housing It seems I managed to fry the led display of the BOSE head unit. The head unit still works fine, all the buttons work, radio works etc, but the display that shows the radio station name and other things just don't light up with anything. I'm not sure how this happened all I know is that after putting everything back together the display just stays blank. I was thinking this might even be some new anti-theft mechanism, can anyone confirm / deny this or has anyone had a similar problem in the past?
I think (hoping) the problem just lies in the circuit board containing the ac controls and headunit controls, not really the head unit itself. I think I probably have to replace this board to get it working again.
If anyone who did the double DIN upgrade on a 2005 wants to sell me thier old head unit / display thing, please e-mail (admin@digitalwheelz.com) / PM me ASAP. If your interested in an 05 DigitalWheelz Screen Housing when they come out instead, I can also probably arrange a trade.
