Help!!! Wireing High/Low converter on stock radio
where did you guys wire your high/low converters on your stock radio? im having a problem when i turn off the car i get a WOOO that gradually increases when i turn the car off from my Subwoofers, it sounds like they are gonna blow..... i have my high/low converter hooked up tot he rear speakers, ive taken it everywhere and no one can figure this out. ive posted a couple times for help but i cantg et an answer and im really getting frustrated with this, can anyone please help out? Does anyone know why i might be getting this? Has anyone wired their high/low converter to their rear speakers as apposed to their radio and not have this problem?
greatly would appreciate the feedback - thanks

It would help if you told us some more about your gear - amp, LOC, where connected, etc.
Getting subs to play engine noise takes some doing - usually they won't move that fast.
Don't worry, this is definitely a solvable problem, but more data is best.

well, its a stock radio, 05 coupe....amp is a kenwood (if you need model let me know) and speakers are punch stage 3 10"......not sure what much more you need to know, a tsunami LOC from circuit city, im just so stumped that i dont know what to do anymore with it heh
It will give that sound until you buy a real cd player. I have the same thing. When you start your car, the subs start BOOOOOOOM and then stop. Supposely when you get an aftermarket CD player that issue is resolved. Just the way how everything powers up.
I have a apline type R with a stock h/u. Dont have that problem and I have the Circuit City LOC, depends on where you wired it, Before amp or after. Tweeter did my install and he tapped into it before and got the pop and then tapped after the amp and I dont have any problems.
Another option is wire the Remote Wire to a switch and then turn it off before you turn the car off and turn it on after the cars on

I have the stock HU in an '05 connect to aftermarket amps and a sub but never experienced that problem. I didn't even use a LOC. Having to add a switch or being forced to use an aftermarket HU seems like too much work.

OK, unplug the RCA cables from the amp to see if the popping goes away.
I suspect the LOC is for caca. YOu might want to take the adjustment all the way counterclockwise as some LOCs adjustments are bad... and then you can lower the amp gain, which might be all the way up.
I would try a LOCPREA from Soundgate.
And try lowering the amp gain.
