What does "PTY CAT" & "DISPLY" button do?
What does "PTY CAT" & "DISPLY" button do?
the display button you have to leave down for a few secodns and it will change what to display on the HU (for example for a data disc with mp3's: folder name, file name, ID TAG name, etc). The PTY CAT button I think has to do with the radio where you choose what type of music you want to scan.
PTY looks for a genre of music or news, you press it then press the seek button. DISP allows you to show the name of the radio station/song id they tranmit in RDS or if your playing a CD, and you press and hold the DISP button, the name of the song will show up. Read the manual for a better explanation.
