Rear seats in x

How do you run wires to the trunk in an '04 x? Premium leather with the reclining rear seats, but I think all the x's came that way didn't they?

There used to be a DIY on how to remove the rear seats in the sedans (might have been non-premuim only?) but now on this new server, all I can find is the coupe DIY.

on the side edge of the rear seats There is a hole where the frame that hold the seat, If you can find a long stick push it thru, you will reach the back of the Trunks.

I actually start in the back of the trunks and feed a long stick thru that hole and reach out to the back of the side of the rear seats, then wrap the wires to the end of the stick with electrical black tape and Go back to the trunks and pull it out.

Thats where I pull my Power and remote wires for my amp.

Where does the hole come out in the trunk? Lower corner like every other car, or is the G "special?". So I don't need to pull the seats just to run wires? I'm just running a SIRIUS antenna coax and thought while I had the seats out, I would pre-run wires for my amp that I'll be putting in later.

I had been debating adding the XM, but then my g/f, who is a NFL fan, gave me the Sportster Replay. I really like the dispaly ALOT better than what I've seen on the Bose deck, plus, it's got 40-some minutes of memory for pausing games/songs/ect.

I ran my Wires thur the rear passenger seats. I use the same hole where the car ran their wires in black plastic wrap. I will try to send some pics this weekend if I got time. I had to resolder some wires in the stock amps.

Cool.

I haven't yet decided what I want to do. I still have the amp from my old car. This weekend I'll probably put it in the trunk. I think it's 100x4, USAcoustics (Crutchfield). I'll replace the front speaker with something like the Infinity Perfct 6.1. I don't know what I'll do for the rear though. Maybe replace the Blose sub with another 8" sub and power it and some new rears with my amp.

The weather has been nice lately so I spend all my time riding my bike (or golfing) while I still can. No time for car stuff.
