Took mine in today. Dealer said 10% of the head units out there are bad. Problem has not been fixed with the 06. They also told me that the replacement is a used reconditioned unit. I was told that you have to keep replacing them until you get a good one. Very sad

My bass is at +3 and stays that way.

it may read +3....but listen closely, and move it to +4....does it make a big difference? then back down to +3....you'l notice it - what happens is if you set it to -5 lets say, you drive all day, next morning it will read -5, but really be at 0.....it just doesnt output what it reads until you switch it

........if that made any sense at all =P

Nope, mine really stays that way. I used to have it at +5 and it was a bit too bassy for the music I was listening too, and it stayed that way after multiple power cycles. I've since turned it down to +3. I guess my head unit is one of the okay ones.

I've got an '05 and have played with the setting. Each time I get into the car the setting are where I left them. Heavy Base for the ride in the morning to wake me up. Light base in the evening when the kids are on board ... and no the setting don't change.

My 06 works just fine. I keep the bass set at +3 and the treble at +1. I'm fading +1 to the rear and have SSV set to Medium.

My bass kicks in if I turn the volume up to 20. At that point the bass will kick in more. Is that the issue that people are talking about?
