Next stage: your recommendations

I currently have all the parts for my car PC which (once installed) will give me nav, mp3s, video, dvd, internet, XM radio (with recording to mp3 capability), DVD-RW, ripping CDs, etc, etc, all the goodies of a PC. I will be using the DigitalWheelz screen. PC will connect to sound system via PAC AOEM NIS2.

I also have upgraded the sound system to include the stock HU driving a JL 500/5. The 500/5 powers a JL 10w3v2d4 in a 4080 box, as well as a set of DLS UP6 components in the front. The rears are disconnected all together.

My question is: what's next? What would you all recommend as the next step in the system? Or would you call it quits and be done with it? I need to keep all future entertainment/carpc mods below an additional $1500 (as I've already invested approx $1500 on everything and want to keep the entire system below $3k). Also because I want to start saving for the vortech

A couple things I'm considering are: Screens in headrests that would connect to an additional DVD player, as well as the carPC system (so backseat could watch a movie while I use the front screen for carPC) ~ I'd really like for them to have some sort of "cover" so you do not see them unless you remove the cover (keeps stock look). An additional screen that would come out of the upper glove-box for passenger access to an additional DVD player (would be the same one that the headrest screens would use) and car PC system ~ also keeps stock look as it would store away in glove box.

Whatcha think?

Sorry, this is off the topic. Why do you have a 500/5 if you are not using the rear channels? Why not a 300/2 and a 250/1 or something of that nature? Are you bridging the rear channels of the 500/5?

I originally planned on running my rear speakers. I may still, not sure. But for now, they are disconnected. I'm amazed by the quality of the DLS. I don't miss the rears, that's for sure.

Right, but are you currently using all 5 channels is what khsonic03 wanted to know.

No. Just the fronts and the subwoofer channel. the other two channels (rears) are not being used.
