Thanks for the suggestion but please read the post first. I am very aware as to the product line by digitalwheelz. I run a G35 reference site off of their server (http://www.digitalwheelz.com/DIY)

that dvd player WOULD NOT last very long like that. the eye is very sencitive to shock. I dont care if its mounted in the door or on the floor. just imagine opening and closing your car door 4-8 times a day, 365 days a year, for 10 years. thats 29200 times of wack wack wack! Its bound to happen. and i wouldnt give it past a year let alone 10.

I'm assuming you're not saying that a DVD player can't go in a car...

no no no. lol. im just saying that even if its mounted to the floor and you go off-roading it will mess it up just the same. cant put dvd players in a car... lol. i would have to kick my own *** for saying that.

So you believe the floor board under the seat gets more vibrations/shaking from every day use (I certainly don't off-road with my g35 ;) ) than inside your dash?

if you mount it on the floor use rubber gromets underneath it...that will cut down on road vibrations being transmitted to the dvd player. You can pick up like 1/8" or 1/4" rubber gromets/washers for a few cents...should help decrease any skipping too.

you dont need that in this case at all. im just comparing the two situations. anywhere in the car other than the door should be fine with no additional gromets or anything.

From My Experience I Installed Pac Vci-x W/seperate Dvd.i Tried Test Fitting It Underneath The Passenger Seat.it Was A Regular Din Size Dvd And It Fit Fine With No Problems ,as Long As You Un Snap The Air Duct Under That Seat.you Can Move Your Seat As Far Up Or Back Or Up Or Down As You Want With No Interference.

i would do that.
