Do I need a trim ring for the Kenwwod 7017 DD?

Just got it in and the trim ring that comes with it is too big. Is there another ring you guys are using?

your using the jdm kit right? i had to make a ring with black plexei to fill in the gap. not to mention that the holes only allow the radio to high or low in the hole.

Making your own would be the best solution. As far as lining it up, new holes could always be drilled...

The Metra kit works flawlessly with the Z, as well as the AI kit, but not for our cars due to the curve of the dash in the Z. I have both kits (Metra and AI) in stock and did a comparison, doesnt look to promising.

No I had to fiberglass one
