Exclamation Help,another Ipod dilemma?

Hey, maybe you guys can help me out here too. I just recently bought the Pac AAI-NIS along with the Blitzsafe Universal Ipod Interface for charging to go along with my Bose headunit. Now, the Blitzsafe installation is pretty straightforward, at least that's what I thought.

I have the Blitzsafe wired to the AAI-NIS via RCA cables. The other three wires off of the Blitzsafe I did as well according to the instruction sheet.

For the black, I grounded it at the same location as the headunit's (there was a short black wire running from the back of the headunit then to the side). The red I wired to the cigarette lighter, which shares with my Valentine 1 radar detector. The yellow I tapped into the constant 12V wire which was located in the 6pin harness that plugs in the back of the headunit, right above where the Satellite wiring harness would be plugged in.

Now, almost everything works. The music comes out of the headunit BUT the iPod isn't charging like it's suppose to??? I'm a little stomp right now?? It's probably an easy fix if only I can think of it. Can anyone care to join? My radar detector turn On/Off like it's suppose to, but how come the Blitzsafe is not charging my iPod? Do you guys think the Blitzsafe UII is defective? Thanks

Are you positive the black wire you grounded to is the ground for the head unit? Even though common knowledge is that black is ground doesn't mean that's what the manufacturer does. There are several places to ground around the head unit. Try grounding the Blitz directly to the car.

I'm not 100% positive that the black is gound, but the short black wire I mentioned seemed it could be since it was screwed down to a bare metal (mainly the chasis of the actual headunit). The wire itself is about 4inches long that stretches from the back then to the side. Can anyone else confirm this if you have a Bose headunit?

Meatshackle, you're saying the grounding can affect the Blitzsafe's ability to charge my iPod? I'm a novice when it comes to car audio so bare with me.

Thanks
