I finished my system a couple of weeks ago and was wondering if i did something stupid. When i tapped into the head unit one of my installer friends suggested that i just keep the factory wires connected so that when i take my system out (lease) i can just clip the wires going to my amps. I was wondering if by doing this i am still somehow using the factory amps filters and thus defeating my 450/4's processing ability? I try to switch my amps filter but does nothing. The system is in a 05 sedan bose premium navi and consists of stock HU 450/4, XR 6.5 front and rear( i know i know) W7 12 and 2 500/1's. Thanks for any input.
