The following is quoted from an Infiniti FACTORY Accessory Bulletin (dated: 7/29/2003)

"Effective 7/29/03, Infiniti will introduce a limited time program to address dealer installation of SR (satellite radio) in some non-pre-wired G35 Sedan, G35 Coupe, M45 and Q45 vehicles. Infiniti presently has a limited number of SR wiring harnesses, intended to provide dealer support in assisting specific customers who purchased a non-pre-wired version of the aforementioned models, and had wanted the SR option installed at the time of purchase. Beginning July 29,2003, Infiniti will make this limited number of SR harnesses available on a restricted basis for a 90-day period to support such customer customer purchase of SR. While not restricted to just them, it is believed most customers who might want such an installation made their request known at or near the time they purchased their vehicle. As of this writing, this program does not apply to the MY03 I35. When this program becomes available for the I35, a similar bulletin wil be distributed.

Installation of SR in these vehicles is lengthy and complex. Care is required to ensure a proper installation, and to avoid dealer damage to the customer's vehicle. For this reason, please ensure that your technicians carefully follow all Installation Instructions..."

PROGRAM PERIOD

NNA (Nissan North America) will ensure limited restricted parts availability of the harness between 7/29/03 and 10/30/03. NNA cannot assure adequate parts availability after 12:00 PST on 10/30/03. Therefore, dealers are advised and very strongly encoraged to resolve their outstanding customer issues related to SR availability in their retailed non pre-wired vehicle prior to that date.

Program Process

1. Customer notifies dealership they would like Satellite Radio.
2. Dealership validates vehicle based on the "Non Pre-Wired Serial Number" information table.
3. Dealership completes the Non Pre-Wired Vehicle - Installation Request from included with this bulletin, then faxes the form to NNA. (Only one request form per retailed vehicle)
4. NNA will process dealer request once per week. All requests received prior to 12:00 PST each Thursday will be input on Friday. NNA will place dealer order for the SR harness only. Dealer is responsible for ordering the Sat Radio Base Kit as well as the appropriate Antenna Wire Cover Kit when needed.
5. Dealer obtains a separate set of "Harness Only" Installation Instructions as well as a set of "SR Base Kit" Installation Instructions from (NNA).
6. Dealer conducts installation.

Antenna Appearance

The curreent technology of SR requires an additional antenna be added to the roof of the vehicle. The styling of this antenna is common to all Infiniti vehicles and each SAT RADIO BASE KIT includes one. The antenna dimensions are approsimately 1.5" High X 3" Wide X 4" Long and is has a 6" tail. In general, the antenna is similar to a computer mouse.
