Then your only option is buying the hardwire kit from escort and wiring it to a fuse box or the dome lights.

You should be able to make your own wire by buying a telephone wiring kit from walmart. Well at least I hope so, since i'm going to try it with my 8500. I already have the kit from another project, so its more cost effective for me than to buy the direct cord.

What length cord did you go with from invisicord.com? Is the 6" long enough for the rearview mount? Thanks.

My InvisiCord design is such that it does not have to utilize a mirror to work. If you have a dome light harness that is exposed in the back (you can see the factory wire/connectors from the back), my cord will work on those harnesses as well. Just order the proper length that gets you from the dome light to your detector. Price might be a little more, but the installation would be a bit easier.

My product started by using the vette mirrors on the different versions of the vettes, and since detectors are mounted near mirrors, the emphasis is on using mirror harnesses.

I went with the 8" one just to be safe. I should get my X50 tomorrow ( getting it through a cuzin who is a best buy employee for 186$ ) but hes really busy and it may be longer. Ill post pictures after install.

$186 is a nice price. Considering its almost impossible to find an authorized dealer who charges less than $299. Even the $250 deals that were posted on the board when the X50 first came out are no longer valid.

Goto the corvetteforum.com, there is an authorized dealer and forum vendor there that has a huge thread where people IM him, and he quotes them back a price. It is definitely under $250 from him. His forum id is DinoZ, and his email is sales@revxtreme.com.

The thread is http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show....php?t=1007814
