Parrot Bluetooth Installation Questions

Has anyone personally installed any of these systems? I have seen some professional installs, but no DIY's.

I'm curious how you would install it into a factory system as well as an aftermarket system. It seems like if you placed it on an aftermarket system with an amp, it would get complicated. Especially if you are using decect gauge speaker wire.

I did come across this install in a Volvo:

We install these all the time at my shop. with large-amp systems we just plug in the $24 optional speaker and hide it under the dash.

Does Parrot make the extra speaker? Or do you have a suggestion on the extra speaker?

So this unit should work perfectly in a setup with a Kenwood Excelon HU with a "mute" wire. Just add this add-on speaker and we're golden, right?

I know some of the newer models, like the pioneer Z1, will have bluetooth built in. But this seems like a viable alternative. Not as clean, but I"m like you. Not a pioneer fan. Plus I don't want to give up my Phatbox/musickeg.

I am thinking of installing the Parrot mki9100 into my 2005 G35x with bose sound. However, I was wondering if anyone knows if there are any problems with getting sound through all speakers. My 1st priority is that it would allow me to get aux in for my car to play off of ipod, but then the bluetooth is a nice bonus.

I read here that this guy didn't get sound going to the sub.

Any help/input would be great!

Thanks

If you have the Bose head unit, you will need to get the PAC aux in unit that will turn your Sat button into the alternate input, this is what you plug the Parrot into.

If you have an aftermarket head unit, you should already have an Aux input and just plug the RCA's into that.
