I've searched this forum, and I still have yet to have my question answered. I want to install a single-din HU, a Panasonic CQ-VAD7200U. I had this installed in my sedan deville and I don't want to spend more money in purchasing a new one for the 03G. Is there a kit for my car to install it? Or does it have to be custom fitted. And will I still need the ac control?

 

i believe you need to buy the Double din kit from japan, which is like around 400 dollars, and user a "placeholder" thing to cover up the bottom or top half since your only installing a single din. And yes if u went this route you would need a AC controller thing.

Two way go about doing this, the easy way is read the sticky on top of tis page "05 D/D kit"...the hard way is to keep the current stock AC and radio face plate and fiberglass the deck either to top of the dash into that cubby hole or to the lower part of the center console where the ashtrey is at now.

 

Grubbs has the parts for the '03-04's so you dont have to go through J's Garage and pay an extra $100 like i did (although J's did have excellent international business IMO) But get the DD finisher and the JDM A/C controls. Here's a pic of my '05 install with a single Din HU...
