Eclipse AVN5435 programming problems.help!

Trying to install an Eclipse AVN-5435 with the PAC SWI-X steering wheel module, but the instructions tell me that I need an Eclipse remote to program the PAC piece. WTF? How come Eclipse can't package a darn remote with a $2000 headunit? Does anyone know where I can get a remote at?

Actually, that is a $1600 HU... and the Pioneer D1 doesn't come with a remote either...

I have one somewhere if you have to order it... but my understanding was that PAC was coming out with a specific Eclipse unit at CES or so? It would use the wires on the back that take Toyota signals?

The AVN5435/5495 are direct connect to most newer Toyota and Lexus vehicles.

For the PAC SWI-X youll always need a remote to program it, as its a repeater. What you would need and to have it hardiwred is a PAC SWI-ECL. I got these in about 2-3 weeks ago, but have yet to set one up. Although Ill be doing my car within the next few days.

Found the Eclipse RMC105 on www.crutchfield.com

Might need to go ahead and purchase that to program the PAC SWI-X and just to have in general.

Since the AUX105 ONLY worked with one HU, I see why you had that issue

As I put in post #3 Its the SWI-ECL. Just check your local PAC dealers.

I have a remote eye with mine, my shop used the one from Pheripherial. It is ok, they had to program it, I can't turn the power on/off with it or advance preset Fm signals just FFw and RR
