Ipod Install (link to pics)...

Thought i'd post my install. Did it in 2004 but still looks and works great! (diff ipod now though).

looks great! What clip did you use and how does it tilt?

Also, did you have to drill a seperate hole to route the Ipod wire?

Thanks. I used this from Proclip: http://www.proclipusa.com/?sectionpa...oryid=&p_year= and mounted the base to the bottom of the compartment (4 screws w/nuts and washers on the underside). I did have to remove the 2 divider side pieces by grinding them away. The ipod cable comes into the compartment that way. With the mount in place, you dont notice the holes.

In the '04 6mt the cup holder is under the armrest behind the compartment i put the ipod in. So i only lost the space for change and stuff which i didnt use much anyway.

what did you use to remove the dividers...i'm trying to decide where to mount my ipod and i don't really like the proclip options for the 04s.

I used a rotozip tool to just grind them flat. a dremel tool would work fine too. i didnt like the mount kit from proclip either thats why i bought the holder with tilt swivel base and just used that inside the change holder. hope this helps.
