Question for the blitzsafe users
Question for the blitzsafe users
So I started ripping apart my 04 dash tonight so I can quickly install my aux input and blitzsafe units tomorrow night after work. Just wondering what everyone used for their power wire on the blitzsafe device, seems like the hazard power wire has the most slack and would be the easiest to get to. Or would one of the cigarette lighters be better?
i want to know this too... i'm thinking about skipping the install of the blitzsafe. i already got the pac aai-nis2 hooked up and i don't want to take out the head unit again. hopefully something from the console area will work?

if you get that to work, can you post some pics? i have pics i'll be posting in the thread i started earlier about the rest of the install...
also, don't we void the factory warranty on wiring if we have to cut/splice wires? i guess i'm not clear on how to tap the hazard light wiring (also very acccessible in the '06) to power the blitzsafe...

I installed my PAC AAI-NIS with the Blitzsafe Ipod interface a few months ago. I tapped the the constant 12V from the PAC plug to the Blitz while I had the head unit out. Basically I installed a wire tap from the PAC plug and a extension wire all the way down to the console where I have Blitz hidden. For the switch 12V, I tapped right off the PAC unit which which is also hidden next to the Blitz. This didnt involve tapping or cutting into any of the factory wires. Hope this helps.
