How do you install a headrest monitor?

How do you install a headrest monitor?

I placed a deposit on the Eclipse new monitors (2). i want to install them into my QX4 Leather headrests. Does anyone know how to do it?

Yeah, but I think you could order the replacement headrests through Directed Video or Vizualogic with the monitor premounted and the wires going through a hollow post and hidden...

just remmber always to cut theleather LESS than what you think is needed, if you need more, cut slowly little by little, and keep pressing to see if you hav cut enough, most common mistake is to cut too much material and you are left wtih being able to see the foam

Do you have to carve out the foam?

Do you also make a small "X" in the middle and start from there?

I would rather do this myself, I have installed many stereos, and this seems really easy--just want to get the right info.

That was informative--although I will try to route the cable throught the metal posts if it will work. Right now, I don't have any info on the montior to know if it comes with a frame or not.
