Audio Upgrade Sugesstion JL DA

I need some help from all of the forums members deciding which amps to use for my setup.

I will be using JL Xr650-csi components for the front and Vr650-cxi for the rear.

I have a JL Audio 300/4 and JL Audio 500/1 and I also have Diamond Audio D
D7054 and Diamond Audio D7152.

My question to the forum members is which would be a better choice of the amps? Diamond Audio or JL Audio . I think they are both pretty good amps. I am leaning to the JL since both 300/4 and 500/1 can be mounted together on the back of the rear seats, and the Diamond Audio are heavy and to big, It's going to be difficult to find place to mount the diamond audios if i decide to use them.

Thanks in advance for the sugesstion

Well, based on what you just said, it looks like you already have the answer. Go with the JLA amps for the reasons you just mentioned. I have a JLA 300/4 and 250/1 so I'm a little biased, but you can't go wrong with JL Audio.

Diamond Audio amps will require a LOC that converts balanced-differential inputs to single-ended inputs. The JLs will not.

^^^ what amthar said. but lemme put it more simply since i'm not sure how much you know about car audio.

the G35's headunit puts out a certain type of signal (balanced differential). with the JL amps you can splice into those wires and plug them directly into the amp. with the Diamonds, you need a LOC (line output converter) to convert the stock signal into one that the amp can take. so, the JL's simplify hookup and also probably give better signal b/c you don't need an adapter.

i have a JL 500/1 and am currently adding a 300/4... i think you'll be very happy with the JL amps.

I think the JL amps sound better than the DA amps, which I don't really trust a whole lot...

El_duderino, do you have a list (or can you list) of amps that you know accept differential-balanced inputs other than JL "slash" series?
