Headrest monitors

Anyone install monitors in their headrests yet? Coupe or Sedan. I'm still shopping around and was wondering what our options are. It's not going to be easy since our headrests are so small and they have a bad angle to them.

Re: Headrest monitors

Trentcinque, Yes someone in Sedan section of Rides has that mod. Sorry I've forgotten who now, but I'm sure someone has seen that recently.
Contact JaMbEe. He has a drop down LCD monitor, and may know who has the headrest versions.
G/L with your mod, and be sure a keep us updated.

Re: Headrest monitors

I've purchased 2 Audiobahn 7" monitors for the headrests of my Sparcos...AVM170Q is the product code...And an AVM270W is going into the ceiling (flip-down)...I have to find a fabricator to custom-build my dash, and once that's built I've got an A8351 head unit going in...Hope the product codes help you as far as looking those monitors up- good luck!

Re: Headrest monitors

yeah like anybodys really gonna be riding in the back seat of your coupes, AND be comfortable enough to chill and watch TV, but hey, whatever.

Re: Headrest monitors

I don't have a coupe, this being a Sedan forum, and my friends and clients will watch the monitors and ignore me and my aggressive driving...In fact, it'll distract them while I almost kill us cutting through traffic...

Re: Headrest monitors

True, but it's also not a coupe forum so I thought I'd throw that in...People would be comfortable enough to chill out in the back of a sedan and watch the monitors, and if you only allow ladies in the back of the coupe they should fit well too =)

Re: Headrest monitors

dude, didnt know you had a sedan, thats different, sedan is ideal, TVs would be nice in a sedan, I myself have 2 5.6" monitors but since I have a coupe I am just gonna put one in the front. I dont think anybody would be comfortable in the back seat of a coupe other than little people.

Re: Headrest monitors

-nosg35 Two questions for you:
1-What size monitors did you use?
2-Do you think that the forward sloping angle of the headrest would cause a viewing problem for small kids in the back seat?

Thanks

Re: Headrest monitors

Actually I do have a coupe and I have people in the backseat quite often. I travel quite a bit in my car and my 2 kids are back there so they would benefit. I recently drove from Jax, FL to Virginia with 3 of my friends. The 2 guys in back were amazed at how comfortable it was back there. They were of course no taller than 5' 8". They're probably the only 2 adults to spend 20 hours in the back of a coupe in one weekend.

I didn't realize how much larger the sedan headrests were compared to the coupe. I saw some pics and they look about twice the height of the coupes.

Re: Headrest monitors

Why do you think it's pointless in the coupe? I almost got a roof mounted but after fitting it up it blocked too much of my rear view.
