question about x50

Hi... i have a question about my x50. i was wondering what is pop mode. should i leave it off or on.... do you guys use pop mode?and what makes it diffrence between on and off.....

and if you're driving in local road(like la downtown). do you guys use city mode or highway mode?

please answer me!!!!

The technical details of "POP" are available through escorts website. In summary its sort of a "stealth" radar that cops use to get an idea of how fast you are going. Cops are not suppose to issue tickets based on the results of a POP speed test, but cops will tend to do what they want if wiz past them fast enough.

Try leaving it on and if it annoy's you with the false alarms then you should be OK turning it off. The x50 comes with POP off by default.

I leave my radar on "auto" mode all the time. The modes largely exisit to regulate false alarms, in most cases city mode will do fine.

I leave POP and X-band off as I find the cops around here don't use it. I've never run in to radar used by a cop on the road here in California that wasn't Ka band.
