eclipse avn5435
I just purchased this unit. I have a few questions about it. Has anyone hooked up an ipod interface to this unit? If so, can you tell me the model and where you got it from?
Also, if you have shows or video on your ipod, can you see it on the eclipse unit?
Furthermore, can you burn downloaded music video onto a cd-r or dvd-r and play it on the unit?
Thanks.

You could just use the iPC-106 and Sirius though.

That is correct, I emailed Eclipse because I want to add the I pod adapter to my 5435. However, to get track, song, and artist you can use only Ipod or sirius not both. The other way to go is use the periphrial adapter. But if you use the Periphrial you sacrifice the Cd changer because it does not daisy chain.

Ok let's set the record straight.
Here is what you want:
http://cgi.ebay.com/PAC-AUX-POD-iPod2Car-Video-iPod-Nano-w-Eclipse-Cable_W0QQitemZ5880111889QQcategoryZ73836QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
That is a link to the PAC controller for the Eclipse Head Units.
The AVN5435 Will read the ipod input as a cd changer and you will have "track numbers" you will have no track information on the Head Unit.
My understanding is that this is exactly how the iPC-106 will work for the 5435 (although it gives track info on the 2006 HU's).
Rumor has it that Peripiheral will be releasing a new interface in the next couple of months that will provide full track info for AVN5435, but who knows what kind of validity that statement has.
For now the PAC controller is your best bet but you won't get track info on screen.
