Need help ASAP ... Quick question

For those who have taken their dash apart ... I am having trouble putting the Cluster Side Finishers back on.

I have hooked the tab into the center console properly and I get the finisher to line up close to each clip hole but one of the first tab at the bottom is about an inch off. Has anyone had trouble putting these on? I am almost done putting everything back but am held up by this problem!

I have an 2005 G35.

HELP!!!!

Make sure the piece with the parking break handle/cup holder/seat warmer switch is not clipped on. If it is, just pop that back up and put the side trim on and then clip it back in.

Do you mean that the center console (which holds the parking break handle/cup holder/seat warmer switch) should not be sitting in the car? That I should put the sides on and then put the center console in?

I didn't try this because I think I had the center console in when I took the side panels off.

Also, I noticed that it looked like the center console could be seperated into two peices. Is that what you were talking about?

Thanks for the advice guys. I was able to get things back together following your suggestion.

I don't know why but I had the toughest time getting everything to line up. when I would try and align the center console the side finishers would pop out. I had to use A LOT of force to get everything in properly. Everything looks fine now, I just am confused as to why it was so hard to get the finishers/center console in. Everything came out very easily.

Has anyone else had problems like I am describing?
