Had AAI-NIS2 installed on 06 Sedan non-Bose (pics)
Luckily I printed off instructions from here that explained exactly how to disassemble the dash and it only took the guy about 30 minutes to set it up. I bought the AAI-NIS2 from the Audio Video classified sub forum (thank you g8tor20). Finally I can unload the CD player before it breaks
! It is nice to have access to my MP3 player without the FM modulator. I'll attach a few pictures of the stereo read out for those who are curious. I haven't really decided where to mount the player, so for now the line comes out of the passenger side of the center console.

Hey blancmax or anyone else that can answer this question,
When you guys installed the AAI-NIS2 and plugged it into your ipod earphone jack, is the volume REALLY low? What I really wanna know is, should I crank up the volume from the HU or the volume from the ipod? I know if the ipod has noise, it'll be amplified through the HU and into the speakers and that's no good so I figured that keeping the ipod at about half volume while boosting the HU's volume to like 20+ would be ok. If none of you even have this low volume problem, is something wrong with my setup? Sorry for the long post........paaaaaaayce

blanc,
you know what i'm talking about tho right? how come the volume is so low, say at "volume 10" with the ipod versus a CD at the same volume? Is this normal for the AAI-NIS2?

I think the volume is low because you normally use earphones with MP3 players. I had the same issue with my Maxima and an inline FM modulator, so I think it's the mp3 player not the AAI-NIS2.
i guess you're right, i'm just afraid to crank up the mp3 too high but i guess i'll do that instead. thanx blanc
