Opinions on nakamichi...
Im shopping around for a new HU. I have found the Nakamichi IN-DV7. Only thing i dont like about it, it is a single din unit. I dont know how it will look in a g. The double dins look great. Im going with nakamichi for sound quality.
Any opinion? Any one with single din photo?

Good luck, I've asked this question twice now with NO responses. It's disappointing too, because Nak does make such great products. They have a double-din unit that has amber lighting, although they don't sell it in the US market. I thought about trying to get ahold of that, it's expensive though (+$1k?)
Just to revive an old thread, I am actively looking into the Nakamichi MD-95z. My deck seems to be doing the "missing driver's side speaker when in CD mode" issue, which annoys me. Part of me wants to just get the stock desk replaced under warranty (although they probably will be all weird about it because I have the DigitalWheelz screen installed), and part of me just wants to throw the damn thing out and get a new, nicer deck. The MD-95z is attractive for several reasons. First, it has the indash 6 disc player (so you lose no functionality there). Second, the color of the buttons is selective, one of which is amber, so it will match in that regard. Third, the faceplate is metal/aluminum, which may (or may not) help match the rest of the dash. Unfortunately it's black, so I'm not sure how that would look with the rest of the dash.
The main downside in my mind is the FM Frequency issue. Apparently Japan uses a different set of FM frequencies, which makes the desk lose frequencies when used in the US. This may or may not be an issue because the specs for the deck on Nakamichi's site says it actually supports US frequencies... so who knows. I have an email out to some people to find out for sure.
