40gig Phatnoise PHATBOX mp3 player

Phatbox system with Nissan / Infiniti Software from my 03 G35.
Includes 40 gig cartridge, Sat connection cable, USB Cradle, Windows software, manual and reference card.

$295 Shipped in the US 48 States.

If you have not seen this system, it is simply amazing. It connects easily to the sat radio plug in the G35 trunk and plays through the bose headunit. Everything is controlled with the steering wheel controls and Bose headunit buttons. Voice announcements for the "Genre", "Playlist", "Artist", and "Album" of your music are called out over your speakers and help you navigate your entire music collection quickly and easily.

The removable HD Cartridge connects to your computer through the USB cradle for access to your music using the Itunes style software.

Was used in my 2003 but should work fine on any G35 with the sat radio trunk prewire and Bose 6 disc headunit. I believe it will also work with other Nissan / Infiniti vehicles with the same 03-07 sat prewire and Bose 6-disc changer.

Paid over $900 for this new.
Selling because it won't work in my G37, so I'm stuck using the factory Ipod hookup. My loss is your gain.

Is the software compatible with Windows 7 64 or Vista 64?

I don't think it would work on those. From the manual:

"Windows 98 2nd edition and above (windows millenium, windows 2000, windows xp) is required."

How do I know if this will connect to my stock stereo? I have the Bose system. Is there a button I need? Is there a connection to look for in the trunk or something?

you need the sat radio prewire harness and the bose in dash 6-disc changer ....all 2003.5+ have it. Pull out your trunk mat, spare tire, and the black plastic support pieces around the spare. Under there you should see a white 16 pin plug at the end of a black wire harness...just laying there. That's the sat radio prewire plug and it just plugs in right there.

I'm gonna look in the trunk in the morning. If I have this wire, you can consider this sold. I've been dying to get my music back in my car. I think this is a better option than the PAC stuff and having a wire sticking out of the dash somewhere. You accept PayPal?

Doesn't seem I can use this after all. I don't have any wires in the trunk that I can find. I removed everything down to the side panels as well. Nothing in there but a wire going through a grommet in the floor in front of the spare wheel well. Supposing that is for the fuel tank or the wheels sensor harness. Wish I could use it.

if you have an early 2003 those will not have the sat connection this needs...otherwise it should be there. You will need to remove the large black plastic pieces next to the spare to expose the bose amp and wiring. The sat prewire plug will be there. If you have sat radio connected you won't see the plug since it will be plugged into the sat radio receiver beside the spare. (This is on a coupe) on the sedan i'm not 100% sure...the plug may be above around the rear deck speakers somewhere

4 hours left on the ebay auction...get your bids in!

Sedans have them under the package tray cover on the passenger side. Mine was taped to a harness next to the aluminum box under the package tray. I'm bidding on this bad boy!

after a little research I found out that KENWOOD actually made two similar devices.

Very interesting concept.
