ABS Failed - Help

Had a problem this weekend at the track. I was going into a corner and braking from 90 down to about 30 on a tight corner and the ABS failed to work properly. I locked up the right front and almost went off the track. I flat spotted the right front and ruined the tire. The ABS light and the slip lights came on. When I got back to the paddock and shut everything down there was a noise coming from the area of the brake fluid resevior area. It sounded like a fan or a pump runing. I thought it would stop once it cooled down but never did and I had to disconet the battery to get it to stop. Once I did that the lights on the dash went out and I didn't have any furture issue as I drove home.

Any ideas as to what cause this would be appreciated

I had the same thing happen to me with my 04 coupe. But even disconnecting the battery did not fix it, I eventually connected the battery back and disconnected the abs connector and reconnected and it stopped. It hasnt come back even after another autocross event.
