Wheel Spacers?

Wheel Spacers?
Just a thought. The AutoX class (STX) I'm running in doesn't allow wheels wider than 8" or tires more than 245mm width. (04 G35 Coupe 18"x8")
What do you think about adding maybe a 1" spacer as shown below along with my stock wheels to gain a overall 2" wider track.
The big question is whether I (we Coupe drivers) would have enough fender space to accomidate these spacer WITHOUT rubbing. What do you think?

i think i may have misread your initial post. i thought you were looking the go out 2in. on each side.*** not 2in. total.
so yes the 1in spacers fit just fine
here are a couple of pics
stock 8in rims, 25mm h&r spacers, 1 & 1/4 in drop
the last pics is me at speed(~80mph), i know its not a close up, but still shows that the 25mm spacers fit
