D Stock to Street Prepared; What Class?
When I ran last summer, I was D stock. Since then, I have replaced the stock filter with a K&N, which is allowed. I've also put on the ztube, which is not. I've also put on the crawford cats, and I've got a set of coupe springs/shocks. Lastly, I've got a set of 18x8.5 wheels, versus the stocker 7.5's. And before next season starts, I'll have the MREV(another intake mod).
That puts me in Street Prepared. But what class? Will I be in Street Prepared D? Or what?

According to http://www.scca.org/_filelibrary/Fil...solo_rules.pdf it looks like you'll be going to ESP.

Appreciate the feedback. I was able to determine that I'd be in street prepared, but what determines the class breakdown on non-stock categories? I know it's in the rules somewhere, but I've not found it yet.
Maybe I'm misunderstanding your question. Car classifications for SP are in the appendix of the rulebook. It looks like both the coupe and sedan go to ESP for 2006. As to how the SCCA determines what class (A, B, C, ...) within a category (stock, street prepared, ...) a particular car belongs to, they use both documented vehicle specifications and race results.
