Tire ???'s

I will be running my car at Motorsport Ranch in July. I have a 6MT and am planning on running 275-40-17 on all four corners w some 17x9 track wheels. ARe there any advantages or disadvantages to running this wide a tire in front??

Should be fine. That's the size of wheel/tire I run in AutoX, and it feels pretty stable...

Do you have lowering springs? No fender roll required with that setup in front?

Also, what is the width of these rims and do they clear OEM brembo's for offset?

The rims are 17x9 and I will be running NISMO S-tune from a 350z.

I saw the Motorsport Ranch on Discovery HD... do you have to be some kind of member of some club? How much is it? How long is it? Let us know how it turns out in july !!!

I was just at Motorsport Ranch last week with the Apex Driving Academy. You go through classroom training and have in-car instruction from course instructors. They have a 1.7 and 1.3 mile tracks.

Most of the time the only way you can get track time is to be a member of a club. If you have a big enough group you can rent the track for the day or 1/2 day depending on how many people you have and how much you want to spend. With Apex Driving Academy the cost is $200 and will include 4 x 20 minute track sessions at the end of the day on your own. It may not sound like a lot but you'll be lucky if your tires and brakes can make it that long in those conditions.

Running 275 all the way around is great if you know how to use it to your advantage. If im not mistaken you have more oversteer due to teh bigger patch of tire up front but if again you know what your doing you will be much faster.

Ive been debating on running the setup. Im still on stagered now but if my tire sponcership goes through then its full R compound 275 all the way around.

Good luck let us know how you like that setup?
