I'd still feel better renting a fender roller. Any interest in splitting the cost on renting one? I know a few of the members on northwestnissans rents them out, and if we split the cost, it'll end up being pretty cheap.

 

Yeah, I'd probably be down with that too but this doesn't look that hard.

 

Give it a try, and if it works, I'll get you to help me. I'm just worried about paint cracking, but seems like most people don't have that issue on G35s. I'll even come over and lend a helping hand if you are willing to be the test car.

nice job, that's a ABS pipe btw. pvc is white, abs pipe is black.

I used a metal pipe from a chain link fence before. Just wrap the pipe in duct tape to protect the paint and you're good to go. The metal pipe won't deflect like the plastic pipe.

That actually does not look hard at all. Do you need to do this if you have 350 Z H Techs, or is there no need with these springs?

 

how wide are your wheels? what are your offets? what size tires do you have?

that will determine if you need to or not...

 

My tires are 275/30/20. They are iForged and they dont give out offsets, but they seem to be pretty flush with the fenders.

you shouldn't have any problems with that setup judging from other iforged setups i've seen. I have DPEs which has a pretty aggressive offset. i'm also running 285/30/20 tires.

 

dude i just tried this today and barely moved my fenders. the pipe i used got bent to **** though.

 

My guess is you heated the pipe too much and not the fender. Try to find a metal pipe instead

 

yea i'm going to try either that or a copper mallet, we'll see how it goes tomorrow.

 

Did it this weekend using a combination of 3"/2" ABS and a maglight wraped in painter's tape. Pretty easy and no cracking, and I got alot of clearance. Didn't get a completely flat roll but enough to clear my tires upon full compression
