Jerky steering wheel...

Is it normal for the steering wheel to jerk a little to the left or right when hitting imperfections in the road? (i.e. small pot holes, pavement groves, broken lines in the road, etc.).

You can see my signature for what suspension items I have. I thought after getting everything the G would feel like stock again (the feel I was going for) even after lowering it.

I have my D-Specs at 4 1/2 turns from full firm. The tires have only about 1k on them, and I have had my alignment done so many times now and it is within OEM range.

Just to note, this was happening even before I installed the D-Specs and wheel spacers. However, the SPC rear kit, the Eibach springs and the Kinetix A-arms were all installed last year (I've been having the problem since). I thought it was just my shocks which is why I bought the D-Specs...hasn't helped TOO much, although improved.

Could the crappiness of the Kinetix front camber arms be causing this? Is this normal for any lowered G? Or does anyone else have any suggestions...

Thanks in advance for any help! =)

Yup its normal.. it really sucks when your taking a turn fast and you hit a lil bump... you gotta put some muscle into keeping that steering wheel on track

I was hoping "normal" wasn't going to be the answer haha..damn.

Will this action now cause my alignment to go out of spec quicker? I continously think I need to go back and get it re-aligned just to ensure I'm still in spec so my tires don't prematurely go. Most likely a waste of money.

How often should an alignment be needed? Especially since the car has additional suspension modifications now?

Naw the movement of the steering wheel will not cause your car to go out of alignment... over a long long period of time it might.. but i wouldnt worry about it too much... If you feel like its unaligned.. then get an alignment... look at your camber and toe ( i dont think caster should be a problem)... check the inner and outter part of your tires for premature wearing (with correct PSI with a cold tire)

Thanks! Do you know by any chance what a good PSI setting to keep the OEM 19's at? I've been running them at about 35 psi but was thinking of lowering it a bit to 32 in hopes that it may help with the steering issue.

Are you tracking your G ?? If you lower it might help a tiny bit.. just a tiny but try out what kenchan suggested

I dont track the G ideally I would just like a nice comfortable ride for everyday driving.

What would be a good total toe-in setting to go with? And Kenchan, is "tramlining" necessarily a very bad thing in your opinion? or just something to learn to live with like DaVeeD said..
