New 2005 hawk pads

I ordered new brake pads for my front brakes. (off ebay mind you and I should have known cus everything in the past from ebay has turned to ****)
Anyway I go to put them on and they are about 1/2 an inch to small. I contacted the seller and he said they are for the 2005 and there shouldnt be a problem. Checked the serial number and everything matches up. The size is 5.4 like the website says it should be and the box is marked g35 2005. The pads that came off my car however are a little over 6 inches. Has anyone else had this happen ? I just dont know what It could be when the serial numbers match up and they are the size that is posted on the hawk performance website. There was no option for sedan or coupe when I bought them. So im assuming that they are the same.
Any feedback is appreciated
Thanks guys - Alli

Oh yeah and if they are the sedan pads Im gunna feel hella dumb for making this thread LOL
