Metallic or Ceramic

Are the OEM non-brembo Brake pads metallic or ceramic?

they are metallic, thats why they produce so much damn brake dust. I just changed mine and went with ceramic and i havnt had any brake dust yet.

sorry noob question but whats brake dust and is it bad for my 03 6mt w/ 52k mi?

lol...brake dust is the black stuff that covers your wheels and you have to wipe it off. Its not bad for your car, but the wheels look like **** when they are coverd with it.

yeah brake dust is horrible on the G35 as well as BMW atleast from what i have seen if you have silver colored rims...usually 5 days after you wash your car they are black..thats from the metallic brake pads..if you have ceramic they wont do that
