My springs are in....but there is a delay because of a wrong suspension piece that was sent to the shop to fix my car. I'm being told Friday, but they've had my car for 36 days so far, so I won't hold my breath.

Ok ....I finally have my car back with the H&R sport springs installed.

My first impression is that the front is lower than I thought it would be and the back is higher than I thought.

This may be attributed to something wrong with the installation as every time I come to a stop I hear a loud "clicking" noise coming from the wheel areas.

I'm going to take it back in tomorrow and get it checked....until then, here are a couple of pics with them in.

Dang why does every spring for this car lower the front so much more?
Looks good, though!! Waiting for driving impressions.

I will search more now, but can someone quickly tell me which parts are needed to get the alignment back? Camber plates? I read some "arms" somewhere but now forget which they were (A or Controller). Seems expensive to drop this car.

If you lower the car 1'' on coilovers, will you also need this alignment hardware?

Sorry. S2000s have all of this standard so when I dropped mine on Buddy Club RS Coilovers, it was all capable of being adjusted back. I'm in a new world now.
Based on what you had before, I'll tell you right now, the spring aftermarket for the G35 thinks you want luxary, or you don't know about bump travel issues, or your not wise enough to know what makes are really good setup, good. Which brings me to ask, what about your current oem setup don't you like? How much more drop do you need? Will you be willing to have less drop, say .8" or less if it mean's avoiding aftermarket alignment correction parts?

Here's a thread to read about aligning the car and several aftermarket parts avaliable. Link should automatically take you to post number 10

Thanks for the reply in this thread and in my other one.

I actually haven't even picked up my G yet. So I can't comment on what I don't like about it. Thus, the springs will be mainly for aesthetic purposes, sadly.

I am coming from a go-kart auto-x prepped S2000, so I am not expecting the G to handle very well. I feel like if I put $2000+ into suspension, I will still feel robbed of handling. So I am not going to mess with it at all, and just drive it like a quick luxury car (but look better lowered).

I just read the link you posted. Helped a lot.
If I decide on keeping the car for over 12 months, I will be forever in your debt. If I stick to my 12 month lease, I'll probably forget about camber. Haha.

Well, I don't think that a certain 350Z owner that was in B-stock last year that traded times back and forth with some S2000 owners would understand anyone saying his car doesn't handle very well. We are only 200lbs apart and a few inches in wheelbase as G35 owners vs the Z. Yes we're not S2000 light, no we don't have the out of the box suspension tuning set like the S2000. But your really selling the car short in feeling that it can't handle very well despite your efforts. Being that your not going to keep the car more then a year, I can't see you spending coilover money just to say it. Though I do recommend adjustable sway bars.

True. I spoke too soon.
I guess what I am trying to say is.. I made my S2000 to handle as well as it could.
With my G35, I will not be on the track. I obviously want it to handle well, but not as a primary goal. I am now buying a cruiser/sports car so I can relax a bit more.
I hope I don't offend anyone with this view of ownership.
