New StopTech Technical Paper: Caliper Move-out Kits

StopTech constantly receives questions regarding the appropriateness of using a larger brake rotor with existing stock calipers. These types of "upgrades" are typically called move-out kits, or rotor plus-sizing. We've discussed this topic with customers countless times in the past, but we've finally formalized some content on the topic. Enjoy.

Great article but at one point it looks like you are going against yourself but after you finish the article you see the balance offered by a well designed BBK and that corrects all ills. Thanks!!

I think the most important part of that article is that if a person does choose to go with a OE caliper BBK kit that they do the front and rear together assuming the manufacturer of said kit choses rotor sizes properly. Otherwise just going with a front kit will most likely cause unbalanced bias.

Great article BTW and all the content is logical, easy to understand, and makes sense.

Clear, logical information describing the gains and shortcomings of a caliper move-out kit. As the others stated, great article!
