HPS shim probem?

I noticed that on my right outside pad up front, the attached shim came loose and shifted foward on the pad's backing frame.

Anyone have this occur? Is it a problem? Im getting a vibratin under moderate braking from the right side at around 25mph, Im wondering if this is the cause...

I noticed this on my hawks too, just on the front right as well. The left side is fine. No vibration though, just a bit of squeeling which seems to be on par with everyone else.

Isn't it wonderful that aftermarket replacement pads have no standards, they don't even have to meet the minimal US safety standards for oem brake pads....they don't have to be tested so no manufacturer wastes money.

"New vehicles must meet federal performance standards--a minimum stopping distance in a variety of situations under a specified pedal effort. Many consumers assume all aftermarket replacement pads will perform just as well or better than factory parts, but that's not necessarily the case."

I have OEM brake pads for the brembo. Honestly, I couldnt feel the differences bettween the OEM and HP+. And the HP+ pads have fitment problems where I had to grind down the sides the pad to make them slide in.
