thats why i figure i buy the 350z s-techs that lower the car 0.7, add the 0.5 difference, totally 1.2inch drop.

your drop looks lower then 1." im running the same tire size and my gap is four fingers tall or 2-2.5" gap from tire to fender on sport package. looks like you have no gap right now.
Yeah, but how I interpret it is the 350Z is a .5" lower in stock form. The G35 sits a .5" higher in stock form. Putting a spring on the car that only lowers your car one inch will not give you the same results of the 350Z because it is already lower in stock form to begin with. IMO the result is no different. Somebody please correct me if I am wrong.

is that what the thread meant?

and i'm quoting...

"NOTE!: Any aftermarket 350Z spring will lower a coupe (G35C) a additional ½” over and beyond the published drop amount for the 350Z. For sedan owners, the same applies to you, except you will gain a additional 1”, not just ½”"

Tein S-tech 350z (fronts are progressive, rears are linear) .7”/.6” drop on 350Z G35 drops will be higher
Spring rates in lbs 386/402 (final rates only, softer initial front progressive rate unknown)
Stiffer then oem by F+23% R+16% (see note at very top)

Eibach G35 Coupe progressive springs 1.1”/1” drop on G35 coupe
Spring rates in LBS initial/final front 229/337 initial/final rear 274/463
F +7% R +35% (looking at peak rates only)

".... .7”/.6” drop on 350Z, G35 drops will be higher"

i think a comma was missing. so from what the author is describing, its 0.7+0.5 = 1.2 drop in front... 0.6+0.5 = 1.1 drop in the rear.

1" drop is minor considering my gap right now is 2.3." maybe you got the pro-kit for the 350z? that will lower your car 1.5 for front and rear.

funny how im assuming everything based off that thread, maybe i should double check this info.

anyone know if 350z springs are shorter then the G35c? i think thats the best way to figure things out. im sure the nissan used the same a-arms and multi-link rear for both cars. same shocks too. only thing they would change up is the spring height and rate?

I have Prokits on my 06 coupe. The drop is nice but I would have liked the rear to be 1/8 inch lower then again I don't have a spare tire to help weight it down.

Definetly nice drop, & from the pics, it looks very similar to 350zH-tech.
I am planning on changeing my spring as well, from h-tech to s-tech. But, definetly wanna see some pics of 350z S-tech on a G35 coupe.

jxtg35, what size tires are you running in the rear? a taller tire may fix that problem.

i dont understand why the OEM tires are so tall in the rear, a 245/35/19. when i went 275/30/19, it made my rear gap larger then my front. really annoying since a 35 tire on a 275 wide tire is unusual.

i just bought S-tech, i'll get them installed shortly. anyone have DIY instructions on it? so glad the rear isnt the traditional spring in strut combo.

Right now I am running 275 35 R19 on the rears. Next set of tires I plan to run 285 35 to help with the gap.

I have an 05 Coupe with 275/30/19 tires in the back. I just lowered it on
350z Tein S-tech springs. My personal opinion is the front is a perfect drop, the rear could come down another 1/2 inch or so, but isn't horrible. For the rear with 30 profile tires I'd suggest 350z Eibach Sportlines to get that really tucked look.

I've looked on the spring spec sheet and I'm debating over the Pro-Kit for the G Coupe or the Tein S-tech for the 350z. Both springs will lower the car roughly 1.0-1.2 in for front and rear. The main differences are the spring’s rates. The Eibach as a bone jarring stiffness of 35% increase to an already high rear spring rate of 427. The Tein will result in a decrease of 6% in the rear.

My question, why is the rear for the G35C so stiff? I’m looking to stiffen the front so the car doesn’t dive/plow when I go hard into corners. Eibach increase 7% while Tein is 23%.

What do you guys suggest? I plan to track the car and enter it into a drift day. I’m leaning towards the 350Z Tein S-tech. I just hope I don’t run into installation issues. Thanks in advance.

do you have any pictures? im lowering mine this weekend. i figure i'll start with the rear. if the drop is too low, im just going to yank them back out.

i dont like cutting sideways across bumps and driveways.

im happy to inform that the 350z S-tech isnt low as i feared. i just finished installing the rears, took me 20 mins for both side. so freaking easy.

im moving onto the fronts tomorrow during the day. i'll post pictures tomorrow. the drop leaves a two finger gap.

Give it some time though. Once the springs are fully settled then it will drop a bit more.

i got the fronts put on as well yesterday. it is low. haha, i take back what i said. reason why the rear still has a two finger gap is cause im running 275/30 tires when its suppose to be 275/35. if i had the taller tire, it will close out that gap.

the front has a fingers worth of gap, but slanted at an angle. from side profile, the front shows more negative camber then the rear.

im tempted to yank them back out and drive w/ the rears lowered and the front at stock height. i noticed less body roll and plow but at the same time on uneven surface the car bounces more then before. i'll have to look more into it as i put more miles on.
