I have been experiencing a squeak from the rear wheels. I know that there was a recall on how the rear axels were greased and that this caused a problem with squeaking, but i have had that fixed at the dealership about 4k miles ago. Also at that point I had the rear brakes checked since I had just purchased the car. My question is do any other members have this problem? Is it the brakes or what? Pads are fine, could it be shims or what? I am 03 6spd w/ brembos.

 

I just noticed a squeak or a squeal coming from my brakes. not exactly sure if its coming from the front or the rear. It only happens when I'm doing about 50mph and have to come to a stop but with only putting light pressure on the brake pedal it'll squeal but only for a short time until I press down harder. I checked my pads and they're fine, 7mm front and 8mm in the back. Are you experiencing the same thing, when coming to a stop?

 

i had the same think and the dealership cut my rotors and grease my pads and it stop so far and its be about a week.

 

Im a tech at a So Cal dealership and the brakes on the G's are very soft and will wear very quick.There has been three brake pad updates in the rear since they came out.
