Wheel locks, what to do with the key

So what do you do with the key to your wheel locks? It's a little too big to fit on my keychain comfortably. Seems like it would be real dumb to leave it in the car or in the garage.

Carry it around in your purse maybe?

Its important to have it w/ you if you get a flat or whatever, store it in the glove box or in the area w/ the jack(above rear passenger tire in trunk)

why is it dumb to have it in car?

Because then then could get the key by breaking the windows and reaching into the glove box or opening the trunk to find it attached to the lug wrench.

I never heard of anyone putting it on their keychain......lol

stick it in your car, in an emergency you'll have it with you. If you don't like the obvious places like trunk or glove box (which is the first place someone would look) try hiding it someplace else. A couple of good places is in the storage box between the rear seats, a thief would not think there was something there. or better yet, hide it under the shifter trim piece. you can remove this trim without any tools and no one would think to look there.

I'd put it in the trunk where your tools are or in the first aid box.

I kept mine wrapped in a cloth and put in amongst the other tools in the trunk under the cover.
That way it's not very accessible, but won't be lost.

You should have gotten a wheel lock key id tag when you got the car. Record that number somewhere retrievable in case you lose the key.

I carry mine in my pocket. When I leave to go somewhere, I grab my keys and my wheel lock. I'm paranoid. Haha.

find somewhere in the hood to hide it. like in the battery compartment area. or zip tie it to a rail or something under one of your seats. that way it's not rolling around and no one is going to look under your seat. unless they read this post.
